The Neo Trunk Wallet is a modern interpretation of Louis Vuitton’s classic trunks, featuring signature elements like Monogram canvas, metal corners, and wooden frames in a compact size. In 1858, Louis Vuitton introduced the world’s first Flat Trunk, using lightweight, waterproof canvas and poplar wood structure – lighter and more stackable than traditional rounded trunks.

The trunk represents Louis Vuitton’s finest craftsmanship and inspires modern bag designs – from the 2014 Petite Malle to 2019’s Soft Trunk and subsequent Trunk Wallet and Neo Wallet Trunk collections.
Craftsmanship
The Neo Wallet Trunk blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. The beech wood strips and metal rivets serve both structural and decorative purposes, finished with matte black coating and palladium-plated silver nails for a modern twist.
Black metal corners and calfskin trim soften the angular structure while providing protection. The cool palladium hardware adds contemporary edge.
Monogram Canvas
The bag features lightweight, waterproof Monogram coated canvas – originally developed as protective covering for wooden trunks, prized for its durability and water resistance.
The Monogram pattern debuted in 1896, inspired by Japanese “mon” designs from the Victorian era, combining LV initials with floral motifs. Originally anti-counterfeit marks, they’ve become the brand’s signature DNA.
How to Wear It
The compact trunk comes with a detachable, adjustable black leather strap, perfect for shoulder carry or as a statement clutch.
The leather strap attaches via silver hook clasps and can be tucked inside for different styling options.
What Fits Inside
The trunk opens at about 45° and features black calfskin lining. With its 6cm depth, we recommend carrying relatively flat essentials.
