I want to express the design concept of ‘escapism and embracing tranquility.’ Fashion, like literature, is timeless. Sometimes you just need to give it a new cover to make it look more contemporary.

The Gate Bag debuted in Spring/Summer 2018, named after its distinctive side metal clasp that resembles a gate latch.
The metal clasp is secured with black calfskin, engraved with the LOEWE logo at the top, and accented with a tonal cord knot for dynamic detailing.
· Bow Buckle ·
The bow buckle spanning both sides is the Gate Bag’s most distinctive feature, softening its structured silhouette like a gift wrapped with colorful ribbons.
The strap also secures the flap – when unfastened, the flap can be folded back for easier access to the bag’s contents.
Even when open, the brown leather buckle complements the check wool tweed beautifully.

The flap, back panel, bow buckle, and strap are crafted from smooth calfskin, known for its softness and resistance to creasing.
The flap bears Loewe’s signature Anagram stamp in the upper right corner. Designed in 1970 by Spanish artist Vicente Vela, this logo features four interlocking L’s symbolizing the brand’s heritage.
The contrast stitching along leather edges highlights the bag’s playful silhouette.

The body features tan check wool tweed with a soft texture perfect for fall/winter, offering both warmth and flexibility.
The houndstooth pattern originated in Scotland. Favored by royalty like the Duchess of Windsor, it’s often called the “noble check.”

The straps emerge directly through holes in the bag body and flap – an uncommon design approach.
The adjustable strap offers multiple length options from 106.5cm to 121cm via different buckle holes.

The interior features suede calfskin lining in a hue matching the exterior tweed, with black hand-painted edges.
Two main compartments and one zippered pocket include a slip pocket stamped with “LOEWE Made in Spain.”
Despite its compact appearance, this bag offers surprising capacity – easily holding a notebook, card case, iPhone, AirPods, tissues, compact, perfume, and lipstick with room to spare. The back slip pocket organizes small items like hair ties and cards.
