The WHIP bag debuted in the Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Creative Director Clare Waight Keller drew inspiration from 20th century Swiss writer and photojournalist Annemarie Schwarzenbach, emphasizing a gender-fluid unisex concept that blends masculine military silhouettes with elegant eveningwear – the WHIP bag perfectly embodies this duality.
The Lover’s Knot
The wrapped design on the handles and pendant is the WHIP bag’s standout feature, symbolizing intimacy and磨合 between lovers, forming a delicate “lover’s knot”.

Crafted from glossy calfskin, the subtle pink hue highlights the material’s quality. The slightly matte, low-saturation tone makes it versatile enough to complement both sweet and edgy styles.
Metal Ring Details
From the circular metal clasp on the 2015 Faye bag to the oversized ring handle of the 2017 Nile bag, metal rings have always been among Clare Waight Keller’s favorite design elements – now incorporated into the WHIP bag.
The bag features 11 rings in various sizes – from the body’s circular metal rings to the strap connectors and small rings fixed to the “lover’s knot,” creating geometric playfulness.

The interior is lined with beige suede, soft and scratch-resistant. A custom “Limited Edition” metal plaque on the back pocket enhances exclusivity, making it an ideal gift.
