The Mystic bag is one of Givenchy‘s new creations for Fall 2019, featuring a minimalist V-shaped flap paired with a sculptural body. Crafted entirely by hand from soft calfskin, the exquisite bright gold double G magnetic clasp is concealed beneath the flap, embodying mysterious yet understated feminine power.

The Mystic bag draws inspiration from Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller’s haute couture collections, combining premium leather with exquisite craftsmanship. Its simple yet sophisticated silhouette and delicate details create a soft feel while exuding strong presence.

• The Concealed Double G Clasp •

The double G clasp hidden beneath the flap perfectly embodies the bag’s name Mystic, becoming its most recognizable signature.

When the flap is closed, the lower part of the double G logo is partially visible, resembling a pair of lovers facing each other. When opened, the full square gold double G pattern is revealed in all its glory.

The metal clasp undergoes special polishing treatment to achieve a luminous satin finish.

The magnetic clasp is ingeniously designed yet convenient to use. Simply pull the flap or strap downward gently to slide the magnetic clasp out of the扇形 eyelet – it can be opened and closed with one hand.

• Premium Leather & Exquisite Craftsmanship •

The bag is entirely handmade using first-layer calfskin from calves aged 6 months to 1 year, offering an exceptionally soft feel with excellent elasticity.

Calfskin has extremely fine pores and a tight structure, offering a feel closest to lambskin while being more durable. Minor scratches can be smoothed out simply by applying finger warmth along the grain.

The exterior is protected with a beeswax coating that develops a more natural patina over time with use.

Despite the soft leather, there’s no need to worry about losing shape, thanks to the artisans’ exquisite stitching techniques and the metal support at the top.

From the rigid leather strap at the top to the neat stitching at the bottom, every detail reflects the craftsmanship of haute couture.

• Handle & Strap Details •

The comfortable, exquisite handle is another highlight of this bag. Viewed from the side, it reveals a distinct 3-layer pressed construction, with the top layer padded for maximum comfort.

The handle edges feature hand-painted edging, while the bottom folded structure resembles two small bows – a distinctly feminine detail.

The bag comes with a detachable, adjustable strap for shoulder or crossbody wear, freeing up your hands. The back V-shaped pocket echoes the flap’s lines, perfect for temporarily storing your phone or other small items.

The strap adjustment buckle is engraved with a pattern of four interlocking Gs – exquisite attention to detail.

• What Fits Inside? •

The lining is made of suede, with an ivory goatskin inner pocket on the back, featuring a zippered compartment and flat pocket for organizing small items.

The spacious interior makes it ideal as an everyday work bag. We packed a pencil case, notebook, passport holder, iPhone X, compact powder, lip gloss, perfume, and headphones, using about two-thirds of the space.
