Design Inspiration

The Antigona bag debuted in Givenchy’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection, designed by then-creative director Riccardo Tisci. Inspired by military duffle bags, its hexagonal silhouette offers strong structure with neutral appeal. Named after the Greek heroine Antigone, it symbolizes strength and independence.

Givenchy’s 2021 Pre-Fall collection introduced this vibrant “fluorescent pink” across its bag lineup. The high-saturation magenta hue recalls Barbie’s signature color, offering a bold mix of playful femininity and modern sophistication.

Crafted from glossy calfskin, the leather shows subtle texture with a luminous finish that resembles ceramic glaze.

For a seamless look, the bag features matching pink stitching along all edges.

The hexagonal logo patch adds a distinctive touch, crafted from padded fluorescent pink calfskin with silver “Givenchy” foil stamping for a soft, playful effect.

Matthew Williams minimized hardware use, with hexagonal leather feet replacing metal studs to reduce weight and prevent scuffs.

Detachable Strap

The bag includes a detachable calfskin strap for easy conversion between handheld and crossbody wear.

Notably, Matthew Williams introduced a new “G” shaped hook in polished gunmetal silver, replacing traditional lobster clasps with dual “G” motifs.
