New Arrival | FENDI Spy Bag Makes a Grand Comeback: Millennial Retro Revival
To celebrate its centennial anniversary, the FENDI Spy Bag officially returns in the Fall/Winter 2025 Centennial Collection. The new iteration maintains the signature metal-framed secret compartment and hobo silhouette of the original, with luxurious materials like glossy leather, shearling, and eel skin highlighting its soft structure, while the twisted handles add a touch of vintage elegance.
The FENDI Spy Bag was designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 2005, cleverly blending hobo and messenger bag silhouettes, quickly becoming one of the most iconic It Bags of the millennium. The name “Spy” comes from the bag’s concealed feature—a hidden compartment framed by curved metal beneath the flap, accessible through a discreetly placed clasp.

The revived FENDI Spy Bag celebrates the brand’s enduring heritage and creative spirit. The new collection retains its iconic hidden compartment design, with the compact hobo silhouette staying true to authentic millennial style. Luxurious soft materials showcase exquisite leather craftsmanship, while the elegant twisted handles exude vintage charm. The leather tassels add a playful finishing touch—every detail reflects FENDI’s understanding of feminine uniqueness.
The new FENDI Spy Bag will be available starting July 17, 2025, in two sizes—regular and small. The regular size is perfect for shoulder wear and features D-rings for accessories, while the small version is ideal for hand-carrying and comes with a detachable, adjustable strap for shoulder or crossbody wear.
The color palette focuses on neutral tones with fresh pastel accents. The glossy leather version comes in chocolate brown, deep honey, and black, with the small size also available in muted pastel pink, mint green, and lemon sorbet. The shearling version features earthy tones like truffle brown and beige, while the eel skin version offers olive green or burgundy Pequin stripes. Special editions include a herringbone mink-trimmed version and a cream-colored astrakhan embroidered version, further showcasing exquisite fur craftsmanship.
