BVLGARI Unveils the New 2025 ‘Marquise’ Handbag Collection

BVLGARI has just launched its 2025 masterpiece – the ‘Marquise’ handbag collection, inspired by the elegant marquise-cut gemstone. The architectural curved silhouette features stitching details and detachable leather charms that form fan-shaped motifs, beautifully echoing the iconic design elements from the Diva’s Dream jewelry collection.

The Marquise Cut Heritage

The marquise cut gemstone features elongated pointed ends and brilliant facets. This cutting technique originated in 18th century France, when King Louis XV reportedly commissioned a diamond to be cut in the shape of his mistress Madame de Pompadour’s lips, hence its name meaning “marquise cut”.

The Marquise bag is the newest member of BVLGARI’s Divas’ Dream family, maintaining the signature fan-shaped motif inspired by the ancient Roman mosaic patterns from the Baths of Caracalla.

The Marquise handbag’s shape derives from the marquise-cut diamond, featuring smooth curves with pointed ends. The stitching creates the signature Diva’s Dream fan pattern, while the handle joints and leather charms also incorporate fan-shaped details.

The small Marquise bag measures 23x15x12cm and is crafted from goatskin leather, available in gemstone-inspired hues including pearl white, royal ruby, and Persian turquoise. The most striking version features luxurious ostrich leather with its distinctive quill pores that provide breathability and soft texture.

The Large Marquise Bag

The large Marquise bag measures 35x22x18cm, with its marquise silhouette exuding feminine elegance. The gold metal fan charm features engraved brand initials, while the interior reveals layered fan-pattern embossing reminiscent of mermaid scales.

The collection includes exquisite crocodile leather and ostrich leather versions. Each bag comes with a detachable strap for versatile carrying options – hand-held, shoulder, or crossbody.
