First unveiled during the Bottega Veneta Summer 2025 Fashion Show, “The Ark” collection featured 460 animal-shaped lounge chairs as part of the runway scenery. The designs include 15 different animals – chickens, whales, ladybugs, birds, snakes, dinosaurs, foxes, pandas, rabbits, otters, elephants, bears, horses, dogs and cats – creating a modern interpretation of Noah’s Ark.
The Iconic Sacco Beanbag

Designed in 1968 by Italian designers Piero Gatti, Cesare Paolini and Franco Teodoro, the Sacco beanbag was the world’s first beanbag chair and is now part of collections in over 20 museums worldwide. The name “Sacco” means “bag” in Italian – this revolutionary design abandoned traditional sofa structures for a pear-shaped form made of leather or fabric filled with polystyrene beads, adapting to the user’s body for ultimate comfort.

The Ark Lounge Chair
The Sacco’s flexibility, malleability and softness – qualities shared with Bottega Veneta handbags – inspired designers to merge its fluid form with charming animal shapes, bringing playful sophistication to everyday comfort.

Crafted from soft nappa leather, each Ark chair features intricate cutting and stitching techniques to create lifelike animal forms, filled with polystyrene beads and stamped with both Bottega Veneta and Zanotta logos.

Discover chairs shaped like elephants with long trunks, horses with flowing manes, floppy-eared dogs, roosters with colorful combs, or snakes with flickering tongues. Each design captures the unique characteristics of its animal inspiration and comes in multiple color variations, blending whimsy with everyday functionality.
