True to its name, the Sneaker Box draws inspiration from Balenciaga’s iconic shoebox design. The bag made its debut at the Spring 25 collection show held at Shanghai’s Pudong Art Museum, where it complemented the dramatic Platform sneakers and cyberpunk aesthetic of Demna’s vision.

Gray Minimalist Silhouette

The clutch is crafted from gray lightweight calfskin with kraft paper-colored polished calfskin lining, faithfully reproducing the shoebox’s color scheme and structure. The side cut-out handles feature a half-cut design where the leather flaps can be folded inward for comfortable carrying.

Gray remains one of Balenciaga’s most iconic colors, appearing in logo backgrounds, packaging, and store designs. This industrial hue perfectly balances high fashion with streetwear influences.

Craftsmanship Details

The minimalist silhouette demands exceptional leather quality and craftsmanship. Both exterior and lining use flexible, glossy polished calfskin, meticulously reproducing the cardboard box’s folds and cut-outs. Artisans hand-paint the kraft paper-colored edges to highlight the contours.

Like an actual shoebox, the clutch features a flip-top closure with 7 hidden magnetic snaps that secure the bag whether placed horizontally or vertically – each opening feels like unwrapping a gift.
