The iconic Dior Saddle Bag made its triumphant return in the Fall/Winter 2018 collection, retaining its distinctive saddle shape and signature “D” metal charm while introducing a fresh, youthful vibe with newly designed antique silver straps that offer versatile styling options.

First introduced in Dior’s Spring/Summer 2000 collection under then-creative director John Galliano, the saddle-shaped bag featured a vintage gold “D” charm reminiscent of a stirrup, creating an instantly recognizable silhouette.

The revived collection offers various materials and colorways, with the most iconic being the Oblique canvas print. Originally created in the 1970s by Dior’s third creative director Marc Bohan, the Oblique motif received a contemporary update for the new collection.

The redesigned Oblique pattern features more modern typography with shadow effects and three-dimensional embroidery for enhanced texture, framed by black calfskin edges in cooler tones.

The bag features a discreet magnetic closure that opens with a simple pull of the right-side leather tab for effortless access.

The revived design also updates the strap options, with a short CD-letter-adorned strap perfect for handheld or shoulder carry, exuding Parisian elegance.

The detachable wide strap with fringe detailing offers additional styling versatility, featuring antique silver charms and woven texture that adds a bohemian touch whether worn crossbody or carried by hand.
