From April 8th to 13th, FENDI will exclusively launch the limited edition Peekaboo Soft medium bag in collaboration with British designer Lewis Kemmenoe during Milan Design Week 2025. The new collection takes “Patchwork” as its creative theme, reinterpreting the classic Peekaboo bag with innovative combinations of leather, bark, wood, and metal, showcasing a perfect balance between functionality and artistic expression.
This marks FENDI’s second collaboration with British designer Lewis Kemmenoe following their 2024 Miami Design Exhibition. Kemmenoe was invited to design the window display for FENDI Casa’s flagship store at Piazza della Scala, where his “ænigma” collection will be exhibited: including two chairs, a cabinet, two wall panels, three lamps, a coffee table, and the collaborative Peekaboo Soft bag.

Lewis Kemmenoe’s “ænigma” furniture collection for FENDI Casa
The limited edition Peekaboo Soft bag incorporates Kemmenoe’s signature “Patchwork” concept. Inspired by patterns from FENDI’s archives, artisans meticulously cut leather in varying tones and textures, then assemble them using the brand’s iconic Selleria stitching technique. The visible stitching resembles the designer’s sketches, adding an artistic touch to the bag.
Materials from the “ænigma” collection are incorporated into the bag’s hardware – the internal bar and frame feature wood elements, while brass and silver metal accents echo the furniture’s metallic details. The interior reveals hidden woodgrain lining made from pine bark sourced throughout Rome. This innovative material application creates a revolutionary aesthetic, while the understated earth-toned exterior maintains practicality. Only 5 pieces of this exclusive bag will be available during Milan Design Week from April 8th to 13th at the FENDI Casa boutique.
